My favourite fish and chips - also good value. As a resident of Harrogate, the restaurant at Drakes has become my family's 'go to' fish and chip shop in recent years and with very good reason as it is always excellent. Good portions, good value and friendly staff - what more could you ask for? I agree with another reviewer on here that says it is better than most on the North Yorkshire coast. Another thing to note is the variety of meals on offer and also the excellent salad which can be substituted for the chips if you prefer. Excellent.

Eating at the restaurant is a pleasant experience, with attentive staff and freshly cooked hot food, buttered bread and tea. Prices have risen in the past year, but are still reasonable in comparison to the takeaway costs and there are special deals for pensioners and children. Sufficient parking outside and suitable for wheelchair access, there isn’t a lot wrong with Drakes.

Great qualify fish and chips. Very few bit of scrappy chips. Well cooked and tasty, very tasty. Look forward to visiting again. Ps: they look after their local ambulance crews and they won't eat rubbish!

Had a fish and chips over here and it was good. Not as perfect as it could be at the seaside of course, but the kindness of the people made it tastier. Price was really good too (£14 for 2 people for the food and tea).Mí friend took me there but I'll go back again sometimes.
